SUMMARY:Pre KG Pongal Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Pre-KG and KG children celebrated the harvest festival Pongal on 13.01.2026 with sparkling excitement and festive spirit.  \nWearing colourful traditional costumes\, the little performers delighted everyone with their lively skits\, energetic dances\, and joyful songs. \nThrough these creative presentations\, the children conveyed the story of Pongal and introduced the four important days — Bhogi\, Thai Pongal\, Mattu Pongal\, and Kaanum Pongal — in a simple and meaningful way.  \n The celebration helped the children to connect with our age-old traditions while enjoying every moment of the celebration. It  was both educational and entertaining\, fostering gratitude towards nature\, farmers\, and our rich cultural heritage. \n \n

SUMMARY:STD VII - Pongal Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Std 7 students of SBOA School and Junior College celebrated Pongal on 13.1.2026. The festival is a celebration of gratitude to nature—the sun\, rain\, and farm animals—for a bountiful harvest\, and it marks the beginning of the auspicious Tamil month of Thai. \nThe name “Pongal” translates to “to boil over” or “overflow” in Tamil\, which is the central ritual of the celebration. A special dish\, also called Pongal (a sweet dish made of newly harvested rice boiled with milk and jaggery)\, is prepared in a new earthen pot until it deliberately overflows\, symbolizing abundance and prosperity.
