S.B.I.O.A. Educational Trust hosted an inspiring awareness program on 19th September 2025, for students in Standards 10 to 12 aspiring to join the Civil Services. The event featured Mr. Israel Jebasingh IAS, Director of Officer’s IAS Academy, who delivered a motivational address. Drawing on his extensive personal journey as both an IAS and IRS officer, Mr. Jebasingh shared valuable insights and practical guidance with the future aspirants.
To support the academic planning and future readiness of Std. 12 students, Mrs. Deepa Sankaranarayan, Co-founder of Vidhyapika and a mentor at Career Launcher, conducted an Awareness session on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) on 19th July 2025.
A First Aid awareness program by RLSS (India) Mr. Tarun Murugesh and Team initiated by Thiru G. Karthikeyan IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police was conducted at SBOA school and Junior college Auditorium on 26.11. 2025.The students of Std IX attended the program and learnt the significance of First aid and CPR.
This session educated and empowered the young citizens with essential life saving skills. As road users and future leaders, students must be well informed about basic first aid practices, especially in emergency scenarios. This program equipped them with practical knowledge and confidence to respond effectively during road accidents or other emergencies. Demonstrations were given on moving injured individuals without causing further harm.
The First Aid Awareness program was a highly informative and interactive event that provided crucial life -saving knowledge to the participants. The program successfully empowered attendees with essential first aid skills, fostering a culture of readiness and responsibility in emergency situations.
A Road safety awareness program initiated by Thiru G. Karthikeyan IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police was conducted at SBOA school and Junior college junction on 12.11.2025 at 1. 00pm.The RSP cadets operating under the Tamil Nadu Traffic Wardens Organization promotes road safety awareness and help with traffic management, focusing on educating community, and instilling discipline with the motto “ We Live to Serve” to create safer roads for all.
RSP cadets and traffic wardens , along with The Greater Chennai Traffic Police personnel, were engaged in traffic regulation. Five helmets were distributed to traffic violators and declarations to follow traffic rules were obtained from them. Road safety tip cards were distributed to pedestrians and motorists.
The SBOA JC Financial Literacy Club conducted a Financial Expo for the Grade 8 students on Friday, 14 November 2025. The main goal of the session was to help younger students understand the basic banking skills that everyone needs in daily life.
Indian Institute of Technology Madras has started a school connect programmer to enhance the learning experience of students of Std. X,XI and XII .It is a short 8 week program across various disciplines to introduce students to diverse fields of study. The registration fee for each course is Rs.500/- From our school 327 students from Std. X, XI, XII registered for various disciplines for the August 2025 batch. Pi Approximation Day, observed on July 22nd, celebrates the mathematical constant ‘pi’ (22/7 ≈ 3.14), the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. As part of the celebration on 22nd July 2025, Class XII students of SBOA School and Junior College demonstrated the concept of pi to Class IX students using an exhibit in the Science Park. This event was organised by the Department of Mathematics.
Our classroom celebrated World Healthy Food Day on October 16th. Students brought nutritious treats like fruits and nuts, learning about the benefits of healthy eating. They discovered how wholesome foods make our bodies strong and energetic. The event highlighted the importance of balanced diets and the risks of junk food.
