Our  PreKG’s  curriculum is carefully crafted to match the unique developmental pace of our  young learners. Through an interconnected web of stories, hands-on activities and  games, we bring learning to life! By weaving concepts into everyday experiences, we empower children and parents to become partners in discovery. Every activity is designed to nurture essential skills like eye-hand coordination and fine motor control, while fostering curiosity and creativity. And, as a special take-home treat, our little learners receive a creative project that reinforces their newfound knowledge, inspiring them to explore, create, and apply their learning beyond the classroom walls

Academic Curriculum – Primary

The CBSE curriculum for classes 1 to 5 focuses on building strong foundational skills through a balanced and child-centred approach. Along with the core subjects, students engage in IT, Music, Art & Craft, Value Education, and Physical Education, ensuring exposure to a wide range of learning experiences. 

Learning is activity-based, interactive, and designed to nurture understanding, creativity, communication, and confidence. Periodic assessments are conducted to monitor the progress of each child and support their academic growth.

From Class 1 onwards, students participate in Olympiad Exams and International Spell Bee Competitions. Beginning in Class 3, students also take Young Learners Exam (YLE) conducted by the British Council, giving them early international exposure.

Children regularly conduct morning assemblies and actively participate in Bunnies, Cubs, and Bulbuls programmes, helping them build leadership, discipline, and teamwork.

Our curriculum is thoughtfully structured to ensure the holistic development of every student—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

ACADEMIC CURRICULUM – MIDDLE SCHOOL (6-8)

The CBSE curriculum offered at SBOA Junior College is thoughtfully structured and meticulously designed to enrich the learning experience of students from Classes 6 to 8. Through lucid illustrations, well-crafted diagrams, and activity-oriented methodologies, complex concepts are rendered accessible and engaging. Periodic, focused assessments further consolidate understanding and build students’ confidence to excel in examinations.

Students are motivated to participate in Olympiads and British Council examinations, which broaden their academic horizons and cultivate higher-order thinking skills. Co-scholastic initiatives such as Guides & Scouts, NCC, NSS, JRC, and RSP nurture essential values of leadership, teamwork, discipline, social commitment, and patriotism.

Enrichment platforms like the Astronomy Club and Interact Club encourage scientific inquiry, community service, and global awareness. Together, these diverse opportunities foster life skills, support holistic development, and empower students to grow into confident, responsible, and forward-thinking young citizens.

Academics in CBSE schools focus on developing analytical skills, real-life applicability, holistic development, builds essential skills and moral values. Curriculum is updated according to NCERT Syllabus and emphasizes practical learning. The school focusses on life skill education such as time management, communication, leadership and financial literacy. Students are provided with career guidance and skill development opportunities. Academic success boost   s self esteem and encourages continuous improvement. The syllabus for core subjects is taught at an advanced, in-depth level, preparing students for higher education, and competitive exams like JEE, NEET, CUET Etc. Extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, drama and art are vital components of the curriculum. These activities foster teamwork, creativity, discipline and resilience qualities that are just as important as academic success.

Maths Week Is Celebrated To Promote A Positive Attitude Towards Mathematics. Maths Week Aims To Dispel The Myth That Maths Is A Difficult And Boring Subject. It Encourages Students To See The Beauty And Relevance Of Maths In Everyday Life.

Pi Approximation Day is celebrated on July 22nd every year.This day is dedicated to the Maths constant ‘pi’. It is the ratio of a circle ‘s circumference to its diameter and is denoted by 22/7 which calculates approximately to 3.14. Since 22/7 is a convenient and easy way to remember the value of ‘pi’, the day serves as a reminder of its value. 

In connection with Pi- Approximation Day celebration on 22nd July 2025, std XII students of SBOA School and Junior college explained to std IX students about the approximation of ‘pi’ with the help of an exhibit in the Science Park located in the school premises. This was organised by the Department of Mathematics.
