Special Coaching

The coaching is imparted by the qualified coaches.

Our under-17 boys’ basketball team made school history by winning the second runner-up title in the CBSE Cluster Basketball Tournament, a first for our school. The tournament was conducted by RMK School.

The prestigious South Zone Athletic Championship, organized by the Athletic Federation of India (AFI), was successfully held in Guntur from September 22nd to 25th.

In the Khelo India National Athletic Meet held at Patna from May 12th to 14th 2025, organized by the Athletics Federation of India, R. S. Sujan won the silver medal in High Jump bringing laurels to the state and the school.

Reshmi G. of class 7A had a successful run in two athletics events. She won a gold medal in the shotput throw at the Padi Sports Academy. Additionally, she secured a silver medal at the Track & Field Athletics Championships 2025, which was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

The under-14 boys’ badminton team from our school won the CBSE Cluster Tournament, which took place at Ramachandra Public School in Kottivakkam from 10th to 13th August, 2025.

Mukesh of 8G bagged Silver in the Chennai District Sub junior Badminton Championship which was organized by Chennai District Badminton Association on 7th and 8th June 2025.

D. Aishwariya Lakshmi from class 12D won first place in the 12th Shri Ishri Velan Memorial Chess Tournament on 23rd August, 2025.

At the CBSE South Zone -1 Chess Tournament 2025-2026 organised by Chettinad Public School, Karaikudi from 28.07.2025 to 30.07.2025, SBOA JC girls won the Third place in U-11  Girls Category

  1. Maitreiyi of Std VL  got the Silver medal in individual board prize
  2. Akshara Shree of Std VII N won the Bronze medal in under 14 yrs. Girls  category

R.S. Pranav Sai Ram VIIIC won the Silver Medal in the individual board prize in U-19 Mixed team category.

CBSE South Zone Boys

Our school’s under-19 boys’ hockey team won the semi-finalist trophy in the CBSE South Zone-1 Hockey Tournament. The tournament was held at SJN International School in Mettupalayam from 11th to 15th August, 2025.

Maitreiyi M of class 5L had a successful run at the U-11 National Chess Championship – 2025, held in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. She scored an impressive 7 out of 11 points (5 wins, 4 draws, and 2 losses).

Her notable achievements at the national level include:

  • Ranking: She was ranked 36th in India.
  • Qualification: She became eligible to participate in both the South Asian and Commonwealth Championships.
  • Rating: Her rating increased by 52 points.
  • Award: She received a medal and a cash prize of ₹900.

Maitreiyi also participated in the CBSE South Zone Chess Championship – 2025, which was held at Chettinad Public School in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. Playing in the Under-11 Girls Category, she scored 5.5 out of 7 points, winning the second place and a silver medal. 

Thigazhini R. of 5I participated in

  • Acchani Chess Academy – State Level Chess Tournament held at Gnana Vidyalaya Hr. Sec. School and won 2nd prize on 7th September 2025.

She also participated in 3rd International Fide Rating Rapid Chess Tournament & won 2nd prize (In Under 11 category) held at SRM Institute of Science and Technology.

On 15th August, 2025, V. Kocharaan of class 7H participated in the SPR Independence Day Cup Cricket tournament. For his outstanding performance, he was awarded the titles of “Best Bowler” and “Best Batter.”

He also participated in the Loyola Titans Trophy, where he was recognized as the “Best Bowler.”

B.S. Yugeshvar of 5K participated in (Titans Trophy Under-14 Tournament League Matches – Cricket) he was Player of the Match and Best Bowler at Loyola College Ground, Chennai.

Our school’s girls’ football teams have made us proud once again at the CBSE South Zone-1 tournament, held at Mathakondapalli Model School in Hosur from 7th to 10th August, 2025.

For the second consecutive year:

  • The Under-14 team clinched the winner’s title.
  • The Under-19 team secured the runner-up position.

Both teams have now qualified for the CBSE National tournament, which will be held at National School in Hisar, Haryana. B. Ashvikha 7E was awarded Best Goal keeper of the tournament.

Our school girls Football Team Bagged the Silver Medal in the Chennai District CM TROPHY Organized by SDAT & Government of Tamilnadu and Received the cash Award of Rs. 36,000/-

Ryan Fabio 6D, Best Player in Sportric Cup

Ryan Fabio of 6D has been awarded as The Best Player in Sportric Cup tournament organized by Chennaiyin Football Club (CFC) on 21.06.2025

Runner Up Rolling Trophy

SBOA JC boys’ team won the Runners-Up Rolling Trophy, a certificate, and a cash award of Rs 3000 in the Inter-School U-14 Football Tournament conducted by M.R. Matriculation School on 14th and 15th of July 2025, with 16 schools participating.

U-13 boys Winner Trophy

AKG Public School, Pallikaranai conducted Football tournament for U-13 boys on 14th & 15th July 2025. A total of 24 schools participated in the event and SBOA JC school’s boys’ team won the Runners Trophy after a thrilling Sudden Death finish against Velammal Residential School, Ponneri.
Nikhil (7E) received the Best Player Award.

U-14 Boys 3rd place in Asan School

SBOA JC school boys' football team won 3rd place in the Inter-School U-14 Football Tournament conducted by Asan School on 17th and 18th of July 2025. A total of 20 schools participated in the tournament.
Varshik (Class 7N) was awarded the Best Player Award for his outstanding performance.

U-14 Girls Winner Trophy at AK Gopalan Memorial Inter School Tournament

SBOA JC school’s Girls’ U-14 Football team emerged as the Winners of the A.K.Gopalan Memorial Inter-School Tournament organised by Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School, Chennai.
A. Trinethra received the Best Player of the tournament.

U-14 Football Girls category, Spartan Sports Festival, Winners category

In the Spartan Sports Festival, SBOA JC school’s girls’ U-14 football team bagged the Winners trophy with a cash prize of Rs. 1000. A. Trinetra of 8N was awarded the best player of the tournament and received a cash prize of Rs. 1000/-

F V Aishwarya Karate

F.V. Aishwarya of Class 10L won Second Place in the Individual Kata event (15–16 years category) at the 4th National Karate Championship conducted by CSIKA on 27th July 2025 at Montfort Indoor Auditorium, Santhome Hr. Sec. School, Mylapore. She received a trophy and certificate.

Harshan Aadhish SA

S. A. Harshan Aadhish of 8K participated in the 4th National Karate Championship conducted by CSIKA on 27th July 2025 and bagged the third prize and won the title Kata Champion.

Aryanachi - Solo Skills (Thani Thiran)

S. Aryanachi of class 7L won the third prize in a Silambam competition held at the Montfort School Auditorium in Chennai on 10th August, 2025. The event was for Solo Skills (Thani Thiran) and was conducted by the All-India Sports Silambam Arts Associations.

G.Krithik - Single Stick Silambam Championship

In the event of Single Stick Silambam Championship held in Kalpakkam on 20.07.2025, G. Krithik from 10K won the first prize, gold medal, in the state level. He also participated in Open State Silambam Competition and secured First prize in the event of single stick organised by Nataragan Silambam Academy held on 12.07.2025

Krishanth. S - TNSSA for District level

Krishanth. S of 5 M participated in Skating conducted by TNSSA for District level and won 1st prize and received 3 Gold Medals.

Pavan Suraj - Open National Speed Skating

K. Pavan Suraj of Std. 9 won three Gold Medals in the 5000m, 1000m, and 1500m (Road) events in the U-15 age group at the 8th Ranking Open National Speed Skating Championships, held on 19th May 2025 in Perumbavoor, Cochin.

Pavan Suraj - South Zone

K. Pavan Suraj of Std. 9 won three Gold Medals in the 5000m, 1000m, and 1500m (Road) events in the U-15 age group at the 8th Ranking Open National Speed Skating Championships, held on 19th May 2025 in Perumbavoor, Cochin.

Pavan Suraj -National Level Skating

K. Pavan Suraj of Std. 9 won 2 gold medals at the School Games Federation of India National Skating Championship, organised by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, held in New Delhi on 30th April and 1st May 2025.

Bengal Skating Association

U. Tejashree of 8B won three Gold Medals and secured titles in Road V, VI, and VII at the Speed Skating Championship 2025, held in Kolkata from 19th to 23rd June 2025, organized by the Bengal Skating Association under the Roller-Skating Federation of India.

Tamil Nadu Open State Roller Skating

U. Tejashree of Class 8B participated in the Tamil Nadu Open State Roller Skating Championships 2025, held in Chennai from 13th to 15th June 2025, organized by the Tamil Nadu Roller Skating Association (affiliated to RSFI), and won two Gold Medals by securing titles in Rink IV and V.

U. Tejashree of Class 8B won a Gold Medal in Road One Lap and a Silver Medal in the 3000m at the 8th Ranking Open National Speed Skating Championships, held on 19th May 2025 in Perumbavoor, Cochin

Swimming, Kayaan Nathella

Kayaan Nathella of 10F won Bronze in the 4×100 Medley Relay at the 41st Sub Junior and 51st Junior State Aquatic Championship – 2025, conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Aquatic Association from 18th to 20th July 2025 at SDAT Aquatic Complex, Velachery, Chennai.

CBSE Zonal Tennis Tournament

L. Tejashri of class 8F emerged as the winner of the CBSE Zonal Tennis Tournament. The tournament was conducted by PSBB Senior Secondary School from 2nd to 5th August, 2025. For her victory, she was awarded a gold medal and a trophy.

Cluster Table Tennis

Our school's under-17 girls' team won the Cluster Table Tennis Tournament, which was organized by PSBB Nungambakkam at SK Academy within Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. R. Mercy of class 10M was the runner-up in her event.

On 27th August, 2025, R. Mercy from class 10M won the Table Tennis Tournament held at S.A. Arts and Science College, receiving a cash prize of ₹3,500.

Harshavardhan S of class 10K secured a silver medal in the under-41 kg category at the Chennai District Taekwondo Championship. The competition was held at the ICF Palanisamy Multisports Hall in Chennai.

In the District Taekwondo Championship, held at Nehru Stadium and organized by the Tamil Nadu Taekwondo Association, our students won the following medals:

  • N. R. Shakthi (Class 8L): Gold medal (under-52 kg category)
  • R. Kavin Ram (Class 9K): Gold medal (under-52 kg category)
  • R. Jiya (Class 7A): Silver medal (under-29 kg category)
  • R. Thanvi (Class 3A): Silver medal (under-22 kg category)

 

N R Shakthi, 8L, Gold Medal U-52KG, Taekwondo

N. R. Shakthi of 8L, bagged the Gold medal in the U-52kg weight category at the Chennai District Taekwondo Championship held at Nehru Stadium on 27.07.2025. This event was organized by Tamil Nadu Taekwondo Association.

Harshavardhan S, 10K Silver Medal, Taekwondo

Master Harshavardhan S. of 10K, bagged Silver medal (under 41kg wt. category) in Chennai District Taekwondo Championship held at ICF Palanisamy Mutisports Hall, ICF, Chennai on 28.06.2025.

The CBSE South Zone-1 Taekwondo Tournament 2025-2026 was organized by Kamala High School in Markapur, Andhra Pradesh, from 21st to 24th August, 2025. Our school girls won the third place in the Under–14 Girl’s category.

  • N.R. Shakthi of 8L secured a bronze medal in the Under–14 Girls category.
  • Our school boys also won second and third places.
  • R. Kavin Ram 9K secured a bronze medal in the Under–17 Boys category.
  • Harshavardhan 10K secured a silver medal in the Under–17 Boys category.

 

V. Sujay of class 5K had a successful run at the South India Yogasana Championship 2025, which was conducted by VINA SRI YOGA AND RESEARCH CENTRE. He participated in two different events and won prizes in both:

  • He won second prize in the Common Category (9-11 years).
  • He also won first prize in the Championship Meet.
